Exploring the subject matter of many of Lichtenstein's paintings, The Weeping Woman, I created TearDrop grommets in 3D software and printed them in multiple colors of plastic, applying them to a neoprene dress as cutouts. To reduce waste I used the base of the prints to create jewelry, a ring as shown and earrings.

Inspired by Pop Art and Lichtensteins iconic Ben-Day Dot, specifically the mechanical appearance of his technique, and the line work in specialty sneakers I created this collection to conjure feelings of playfulness and childhood meeting the rigid and complex world in the patterning work. The dotted motif on the neoprene was achieved using pearler beads melted into holes of the fabric, having an almost mechanized look to the finished piece each bead is done individually by hand.
